I raised up the chicks’ food and water so that they would stop getting wood chips in their water and kicking their food out (“wastage” for you animal husbands out there). We’ll see how long it lasts. And then there were five — the Buckeye, Sicilian Buttercup, Mystery Chick (Golden Buff?), White Sultan, and the Ancona, after their tiny bantam friends went home with our neighbor. (Six days old.)
